Interview with John Gruber   Post2PDF

John Gruber — writer, blogger, and creator of Markdown — had more than a few interesting things to say in a long, wide-ranging, but never dull interview titled “John Gruber: A Mix of the Technical, the Artful, the Thoughtful, and the Absurd“.

In the interview, Gruber discusses interviewing, how he writes, and his typical writing day. Gruber had three very interesting (and dead on) things to say about writing:

Writing is a lonely endeavor.

and:

The act of writing, like any art, defies description.

and, finally:

There are a lot of people writing for the web today; but there aren’t that many at all who are trying to do great writing for the web.
