Writing on a mobile device 
Most people view smartphones as devices for both making calls and surfing the Web. But they can be used to write, too. in Japan, novels are written for mobile phones, and more than one budding novelist has written using a phone.
While that trend hasn’t quite reached North America just yet, people do write using their mobiles. A number of online tools, like Google Docs, have mobile versions. Devices like PDAs and certain smartphones actually have word processors and text editors available for them.
This blog post is an interesting look at writing with a mobile phone. The writer makes an interesting point:
And would you believe that my writing is actually improving? I’m choosing my words better, because more work goes into composing each one.
