Good technical writing is where you find it   Post2PDF

You find good technical writing, and it’s close cousin procedural/how-to writing, in some interesting places. And on some interesting topics. One such place is WikiHow.com.

The content on the site varies — some of it’s good, a lot of it’s quite middling (or worse). One of the more interesting how-to pieces I’ve read there in quite some time is this one. It explains how to say “I love you” to someone. As most of us know, doing that isn’t as easy as it sounds.

The article explains how to do it — from preparation to actually saying the words. And there are some useful tips and warning included, which are an essential part of good technical or procedural writing.
