Crafting email queries 

The query letter is the life blood of the freelance article writer. Assignments are gained or lost thanks to the quality of a query. The same goes for email queries, which pose their own challenges.

Anne Wayman has some great advice for writing email queries. her 13+ tips will help ensure that your query gets read. Even though I generate most of my article work using email queries, I learned a few things from Anne's post.

Especially important to the new writer is tip number 3:
Like a snail-mail query, the purpose of your e-query is to show the editor you know your stuff. So everything that makes a query letter work, works with an e-query.
