Using XML for Structured Authoring
If you're a technical writer, you've probably heard all (or at least something) about using XML to author documentation. While, contrary to some claims, XML won't bring about world peace, end hunger, or make technical writing glamorous it can help make authoring structured documentation a lot easier.
This article (and parts two and three) offers a good overview of using XML for structured authoring. Anyone who's used DITA or DocBook for a while won't find much new information here, but if you're just getting into authoring with XML then these articles are a nice primer.
