Tracking your submissions
If you’re like me, then you track your manuscript submissions and payment details in one or more spreadsheets. I use OpenOffice.org Calc; some writers I know use Microsoft Excel. Windows users have another option, which is also free. It’s called Sonar 2.
Sonar 2 is a simple, all-in-one solution for tracking your manuscripts. You can enter the important information about an article or story – title, word count, description, submission history, and total payment. On top of that, you can add a list of markets and even import a text or CSV file from a spreadsheet.
I’m definitely going to see whether or not Sonar 2 runs under Linux using CrossOver Office.
