Browser toolbar for tech writers
The folks at Cherryleaf have created a Web browser toolbar aimed at technical communicators. With versions for Firefox and Internet Explorer, the toolbar has the following features:
It’s an interesting idea, but I’m not sure how useful it will be. Or if it will work with Firefox on Linux. Still, I’m giving it a look.
- Instant access to the Cherryleaf Web site from any site on the web
- Search from anywhere on the Web
- Checking email, including Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail and POP3
- Check the job vacancies posted at the Cherryleaf site with a single click
- Notification of new posts to the Cherryleaf blog
- Chat with the folks at Cherryleaf using an instant messenger
- Shortcuts to forums
