Note taking for writers
One skill writers of all kinds need is note taking. You need to take notes whether you’re researching an article, story, or book or when you’re interviewing someone. But being learning to quickly and efficiently take notes is tricky and takes a lot of practice.
While doing research, I favour the Cornell Method. This short guide (in PDF format) is a great introduction to note taking. While aimed at academic writers – as are many guides and tips on the Web – you can apply the information in this guide to just about any kind of writing.
