Finding good tech writing in the strangest places
A few weeks ago, I bought my daughter a small MP3 player. Nothing fancy -- a flash player with 128 MB of storage. It's useful at bedtime, on trips, and when we're out; by listening to her favourite baroque pieces, the player helps her calm down when she gets excited or upset.
The documentation for this particular MP3 player is actually on the backing board of the packaging. And it's a nice little piece of tech writing: simple, concise, and to the point. One of the FAQs really caught my attention:
