FOSS help authoring tools -- not all that great
This article looks at the current state of free and Open Source help authoring tools. The verdict: they can't compare to their commercial counterparts.
I have to agree. The available tools are OK, but they generally can't produce the rich help systems that commercial tools on Windows can. I'm hoping that this will change in the near future, though.
