Backpack as a writing tool

Over at one of my other blogs, I've been writing about an online service called Backpack. Backpack is an online information manager, which groups your information in pages (essentially a collection of information on a particular topic). Each page enables you to mix up how you want to present your information. On a page you can have todo-like lists, notes, images, and can even upload files.

I've found that Backpack is an excellent writer's tool. I use it in a couple of ways. I have a general page listing projects that I plan to tackle, and general notes. Each project that I'm currently working on has its own page, which I can make accessible to clients (where applicable). I've also created a page for information concerning my business. My business partner can access that page, and make changes to it. I can even add reminders to pages to keep me on track and on deadline.

Obviously, I like Backpack a lot. So much so that I'm working on a Backpack how-to for writers (as well as a review of the service, which I hope to sell to a writer's magazine). It's a great tool. I only wish it worked properly in the Opera Web browser ...
