It's finally happened ...
Yep, I've been plagiarized. I was playing with Copyscape (a service that helps "you fight against online plagiarism and content theft"), and discovered that huge chunks of an article I'd written four years ago have popped up in content on various Web sites. And they were under someone else's byline.
I've sent some preliminary e-mails about this and am just waiting to hear back.
The last time something like this happened involved a couple of articles of mine being sold (without my knowledge or permission) at the now-defunct site ContentVille.com. A couple of e-mails asking for payment got them to remove the articles from the site. And I didn't even have to mention the "L" word.
