Ambition, or lack thereof
I'm not terribly ambitious. Don't think I ever have been. And one of my goals has never been to be a great writer. I wanted to be a respected writer, though. But whether that will ever happen remains to be seen.
Right now, I'm happy to write exclusively for a living. Maybe that's enough ...
