OLPC Give One/Get One program starts today

The 2008 OLPC Give One/Get One program starts today. So, once again you have the opportunity to buy a laptop for a child in a developing country, or buy yourself an XO laptop and have one sent to to a child.

What’s interesting is that delivery of the XOs is being handled by Amazon.com in the United States. I guess this is to avoid the shipping problems that plagued the program last year. If you’re outside the U.S., you can donate through Amazon.co.uk. Don’t know if this applies to Canada, too.

In case you were wondering, Amazon will only be selling the Linux-based XOs.
