Backup up a VirtualBox virtual machine

It seems that I’m on a bit of a virtualization kick. This time around, I’ve run across some simple instructions on how to back up a virtual machine that was created under VirtualBox.

You’ll need to:

  1. Pop open a terminal to do the job
  2. Know the name of and path to your virtual machine file

That said, the command string is simple. It just takes a bit of time to save the virtual machine.
