Fixing the spawning session problem with VirtualBox
Last week, a kernel updated filtered its way down to my laptop. I didn’t notice any problems until a few days later when I tried to start a virtual machine under VirtualBox. A progress dialog popped up, proclaiming that VirtualBox was spawning a session. And it just hung there at 0%.
Then, I remembered a post on the Tombuntu blog that I’d read a day or two earlier. The post contained detailed instructions on how to fix this problem. It worked like a charm.
This just goes to show you that reading blogs isn’t a waste of time …
